Leila is a highly experienced healthcare professional, she is part of Medelit’s healthcare team and carries out Physiotherapy Home Visits with us.

She is a Respiratory Specialist Physiotherapist currently living & working in London. She has for almost a decade worked in respiratory care. Learning, developing and teaching high level respiratory skills and supporting a wide variety of clients to achieve better self management skills and improved quality of life. Her aim is to support clients in improving their quality of life and reducing the risk of them being admitted to hospital through effective secretion management strategies, exercise programmes & breathing techniques.
Working with clients to create an effective routine to support airway clearance is paramount to lung health and condition management. She has for many years, worked with clients who suffer with conditions such as Cystic Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Such clients are dependent on routines to clear secretions from their chest, to decrease their respiratory effort and reduce the risk of chest infections. Having worked and studied at tertiary London centres for such conditions She has  been able to develop a wide array of strategies and techniques to help clients achieve the best possible outcomes.

Previously She worked at a high level pulmonary rehab centre teaching and managing shortness of breath through breathing control techniques and exercise. Community pulmonary rehab is an effective way of maintaining physical health for clients who suffer with respiratory conditions. Furthermore exercise is an vital tool in supporting airway clearance and improving general health. She can support clients to develop individualised treatment plans and provide effective community support.

She also has extensive experience working with the paediatric population. Having worked with children whose respiratory conditions necessitate regular treatment. She has developed an array of child friendly strategies to support the more fun elements of Physio, resulting in improved engagement and outcomes.
