Arrianne Sunico Registered Nurse – Profile and Clinical Excellence
A highly-skilled and conscientious registered nurse with more than thirteen years of professional experience.
I currently specialised in Tissue Viability and have been practicing for the last 4 years in a major trauma hospital in London. I manage patients with complex wound cases such as pressure damage, leg ulcers, trauma and surgical wounds. I also manage neonates and paediatric patients with complex wound cases.
I work closely with the Plastics team, Stoma team, and Podiatry and Vascular team in our hospital to develop a patient-centred wound care plan.
I also liaise with consultants, ward doctors, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, dietician pharmacist and community teams to ensure that the wound care plan tailored for a patient is met and needed adjustments are made. I encourage patients and family participate in their treatment if they wish to.
I am involve with hospital projects in reducing the number of pressure ulcer incidents in the hospital. Supporting ward manager, nurses, student nurses and other members of the healthcare team in managing complex wounds through education and training. My team regularly conducts wound care teaching sessions within the Trust.
Previous to my Tissue Viability experience, I was a deputy sister in a private surgical ward.
I have also extensive experience in working in an acute medical surgical, neurology and neurosurgical wards.
Having experienced working in both government and private hospitals in the UK gave me an opportunity to navigate different hospital systems and allowed me to work with different types of staff and patients.
