Choose a home visit or a video consultation, search for the service (or simply the problem you need help with), enter your address, and you will immediately see the clinicians available in your area with their fees and profiles.<\/p>\n<p>Select your preferred clinician \u2014 or leave the choice to us \u2014 and complete the short booking form. Please describe the <strong>reason for the visit<\/strong> as clearly as you can: it helps the clinician prepare and lets our team route your request correctly.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as the clinician confirms their availability you will receive a booking proposal by email, which you confirm by completing the payment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You can place your booking at any time that suits you<\/strong> &mdash; it does not depend on the opening hours of a call centre. Bookings placed during the night are processed by the clinicians first thing in the morning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>How quickly will my visit take place?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>Visit times depend on the availability of the clinicians, who always do their best to accommodate your preferred day and time \u2014 you will receive a prompt answer to every booking request.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If your request is urgent<\/strong>, we recommend leaving the clinician selection to \u201cno preference \/ Medelit\u2019s choice\u201d during booking: your request is then sent to several available clinicians at once, which usually means the fastest possible appointment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>What services do you offer?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>Medelit brings healthcare directly to your home, office or hotel \u2014 and online by <a href=\"\/uk\/online-healthcare-services\/\">video consultation<\/a>. Requests are forwarded to clinicians during daytime hours; requests arriving overnight are handled first thing in the morning by our triage team.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>Do I need a referral or prescription?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>A referral or discharge letter is always useful \u2014 it gives the clinician valuable information \u2014 but it is <strong>not mandatory for most services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For some services, however, a <strong>valid prescription is required<\/strong> (for example injections and IV drug administration). The booking form tells you exactly what is needed for the service you select, and you can upload your documents directly during the booking.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>How much does it cost?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>Each clinician sets their own fees, which can vary by service and by area of London. <strong>All fees are shown transparently in the <a href=\"\/uk\/contact-us\/book-home-visit\/\">booking system<\/a>, for your address, before you commit to anything<\/strong> \u2014 no surprises. Discounted packages are available for many therapy services.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>How are Medelit&#8217;s clinicians selected?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>All clinicians on our platform are registered with the relevant UK professional bodies (such as the GMC, NMC and HCPC), are experienced in delivering care at home, and are vetted before joining. We continuously monitor the quality of their services through patient feedback and <a href=\"\/uk\/reviews-testimonials\/\">reviews<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>Is Medelit private or NHS?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>Medelit is a <strong>private service<\/strong>, not affiliated with the NHS. All services are provided privately and paid for by the patient. You will receive an invoice by email, which you may be able to use to claim from your private health insurance, depending on your policy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>Who can book?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>Anyone can book \u2014 for themselves or <strong>on behalf of another person<\/strong> (a relative, a patient in your care, a guest or an employee), as long as the patient is aware of the booking and consents to it. The booking form lets you indicate who the visit is for.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>Where do you operate?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>Medelit operates <strong>across the whole of the UK<\/strong>. The areas covered for each service depend on the clinicians who provide it &mdash; most are currently based in and around London and greater London.<\/p>\n<p>You can check availability for your address yourself, <strong>within seconds<\/strong>: enter your address and the service you require in the <a href=\"\/uk\/contact-us\/book-home-visit\/\">booking system<\/a> and you will instantly see the clinicians covering your area. <a href=\"\/uk\/online-healthcare-services\/\">Video consultations<\/a> are available wherever you are.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>Can I choose my clinician?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>Yes. The booking system shows you each available clinician with their profile, reviews and fee, and you choose. If you have no preference \u2014 or need the fastest availability \u2014 select the \u201cno preference\u201d option and we will find the right clinician for you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>How do I pay?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>Once a clinician has confirmed availability, you receive a booking proposal with a secure payment link (debit\/credit card or PayPal). Payment confirms the appointment. Our clinicians do not take cash. Your invoice is sent by email.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"mfaq-item\">\n<summary>How do I change or cancel an appointment?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"mfaq-a\">\n<p>Use the <strong>Reschedule\/Cancel link in your booking confirmation email<\/strong> &mdash; it is the sole channel for appointment changes and cancellations. It notifies your clinician immediately and allows our operations centre to act on your request straight away. Requests sent through other means, including email, cannot be processed.<\/p>\n<p>Changes and cancellations are subject to our <a href=\"\/uk\/contact-us\/book-home-visit\/\">cancellation policy<\/a>, which is shown in full transparency before you confirm and pay. The policy exists because organising a home visit requires real coordination and dedicated time from your clinician: prompt notice allows us to reallocate that time and offer it to other patients in need.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<hr class=\"mfaq-sep\">\n<div class=\"mfaq-sec\" style=\"margin:80px 0 0\">\n<h2 class=\"mfaq-h\">Still have a question?
