Medelit’s English speaking team of Podiatrists provides high quality professional foot care direclty at home. Our podiatrists offer high standards of treatment and can treat you in your home, office or hotel.

The team provides preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of a range of problems affecting the feet, ankles and lower legs. This includes infections, defects and injuries, as well as foot and nail conditions associated to health disorders such as diabetes.

We also give advice on improving mobility, independence and quality of life.

All Podiatrists working with Medelit are fully registered and insured.

They are all vetted with a full background check, reference check and they are personally interviewed by our managing Doctors for approval.

We select our healthcare professionals for their high levels of professional experience as well as for their caring manner and good communication and practical skills.

Our podiatrists work in hospitals, GP surgeries or within private practice and are used to working within Medelit’s team of home visiting nurses and physiotherapists. What do Podiatrists do?

• diagnose and treat diseases related to the foot and lower limb in people of all ages;
• treat high-risk patient groups such as the elderly and those with increased risk of amputation;
• provide advice and make referrals where appropriate;
• prescribe, produce and fit orthotics and other aids and appliances;
• deliver foot health education;
• preserve, restore and develop movement;
• treat sports-related injuries to legs and feet;
• use a range of equipment including surgical instruments, dressings, orthotic (inner sole) materials, grinders, shaping equipment, gait-analysis equipment (which allows for analysis of walking or running problems).
