Medelit’s Home Visiting Midwives team offers you the very best in one to one english spoken midwifery care in Milano. Our mobile midwives provide high standard of care and will assist you in your home both during your pregnancy and after delivery.
Our midwives provide professional individualised services tailored to meet your needs before, during and after the birth of your baby. We can also provide support in hospital-based births in Milano.
Home visits with our midwives can be booked 365 days a year from 09.30 am to 06.30pm. Our midwives are however available for home visits also during weekends and in the evenings.
Foreign ladies who plan to give birth in Milan often have to face the challenges of organising things in a country with different obstetrical traditions, a different language and with little to no family support both during the pregnancy and in the first months after the baby’s birth.
Our fully trained English speaking midwives organise antenatal home visits and pregnancy workshops so as to better understand and be prepared to what is to be expected during childbirth and after hospital dismissal.
For those who speak no italian or simply want private assistance during their hospital stay, our visiting midwives also offer hospital assistance which can include delivery assistance where, as happens in most cases , the chosen hospital for delivery allows this.
Postnatal care can start even before hospital dismissal and can be continued at home until you feel safe and secure with your newborn baby.
