How It Works
Choose the test and your address
Press Choose & Book, pick a blood test, a urine test or an INR check, and enter the address where you are staying. The nurses who cover it appear with their qualifications and their fee.
Your preferred time
Choose your nurse and tell us when suits you. The nurse offers that time or the closest one they have free; you accept it and pay securely online. Have the Italian prescription ready if you have one; otherwise the list of tests you want is enough.
The nurse comes to you — then the report
Everything needed arrives with the nurse: tubes, containers, labels. The sample is taken where you are and carried to the laboratory, where the nurse completes the acceptance and the paperwork in your place. As soon as the laboratory issues the report it is forwarded to you by email. It is in Italian; to go through it in English, you can book a video consultation with an English-speaking GP.
Most blood tests are taken fasting, so morning appointments are the norm — the preparation for your particular tests is confirmed when the booking is. Laboratories close at weekends and on Italian public holidays, so collections run on working days.
Home Sampling Services
Every service below is taken at your address by a registered nurse and booked through the same window.
Blood Test
Any blood test or panel — a routine check-up, cholesterol, thyroid, vitamins, hormones, a pre-operative screen. The nurse draws the sample and takes it to the laboratory.
Urine Test and Urine Culture
Urinalysis, urine culture and urine cytology (CTM). The nurse brings the sterile container, collects the sample at your address and delivers it to the laboratory.
Blood Draw Only
You have already arranged the laboratory yourself: the nurse takes the sample at your address and hands you the tubes, and the delivery to your laboratory is yours.
Catheter Urine Culture
A sterile urine sample taken from an indwelling catheter, for people who are bedbound, in a care home or on a hospital ward and cannot provide a sample the usual way.
INR Monitoring — Package of 8
For people on warfarin and similar anticoagulants: eight INR checks at home, booked as a single package by returning patients once the first collection has been done.
Home Blood Tests — Package of 5
Five home collections at a package price, for a therapy that needs regular monitoring. Each visit is scheduled when you need it.

Private or Through the Italian Health Service — Both Work
The nurse’s visit is always private. The laboratory part can go either way, and the difference is only in what you send us when you book.

Have ready
The prescription or the list of tests, the name of the doctor who will read the results, and a note of any medicines you take. Fasting instructions come with the booking confirmation.
Some tests cannot travel
A few tests must be processed within minutes or carried out in hospital conditions. If one of yours is among them the nurse says so when you book, before any fee is taken.
The report
Italian laboratories issue it in Italian, and it is not translated. It is yours to keep and to share with any doctor; if you would like it explained in English, a video consultation with an English-speaking GP can go through it with you.

You book and pay the nurse’s visit at the fee shown on their profile. The laboratory cost comes separately: the private rate, or the ticket if you have an Italian prescription.

Give your preferred time: the nurse offers it or the closest free one, you accept and pay online. You are then asked for the Italian prescription, or simply for the list of tests you want.
Only if you want the laboratory to bill the national health service, which needs an Italian ricetta. Privately, a note from any doctor or a plain list of the tests is enough. If you would like a doctor here to decide which tests to request, an English-speaking doctor can visit first; the nurse cannot write prescriptions.
Two parts. The nurse’s fee is set by each nurse and shown with their profile before you book; it covers the visit, the sampling and the delivery to the laboratory. The laboratory cost is separate and is communicated to you on its own: the state ticket if you have an Italian prescription, or the laboratory’s private rate without one.

No. Laboratories in Italy are closed at weekends and on public holidays, and samples go to the laboratory the same morning they are taken, so home collections are booked on working days. The booking window only shows the days a nurse and a laboratory are both available.
Yes. Nurses take blood and urine samples in care homes, serviced residences and on private hospital wards, including sterile urine samples from a catheter for people who are bedbound. A relative can make the booking on the patient’s behalf and receive the report.
Eight INR checks at home, booked as one package by a returning patient after the first collection has been done, and followed by the same nurse each time. Each visit is scheduled when the check is due, and every result is forwarded to you as the laboratory issues it.
Yes. Choose Blood Draw Only: the nurse takes the sample at your address and hands you the labelled tubes to carry to the laboratory you have arranged. The fee is lower because the delivery and the acceptance at the laboratory are not included.
