Speech Therapy in Schools — Service Details

We fit around your timetable, working with teachers and parents so progress carries on in class and at home.

Screening & Standardised Assessments

Assessments focus on classroom language: concepts, questions, following instructions, verb tenses and pronouns. Standard scores compare each pupil with their age group, and a support plan follows.

One-to-One Therapy at School

Your therapist visits on a set day of the week and sees pupils one to one in a quiet room. Pupils miss less of their lessons than they would for a clinic appointment.

Training for Teaching Staff

Specialist training shows teachers how to spot speech and language difficulties early and support affected pupils in the classroom.

Parents Involved

Parents receive activities and advice for home, with joint sessions at school. On request, the therapist writes a home programme to practise alongside school sessions.

Advantages

  • Therapy on site, less time out of lessons

The service is impeccable...i was provided with an acupuncturist covering my area immediately and the practitioner was very professional and gave a medical report after each session. Also an invoice was provided which was acceptable by my insurance AXA PPP...

A very professional medical group. Responded immediately to my mums caring needs. We were desperate for a home visit and they answered promptly and allocated a very thorough doctor for us. Doctor made mum very relaxed because mum is usually a very nervous patient. I will recommend others to use them. Very satisfied with their services. Way to go Medelit. Well done!
