There is nothing to register for in advance, and appointments run right through the week, evenings and weekends included.
Fees are individual to each nurse and shown clearly on their profile before you commit to a booking. Payment is taken for the appointment itself once you accept the time your nurse proposes.
No referral is required to book — any Medelit nurse offering video consultations can see you directly. If a GP or hospital team has already given you a referral letter or notes, feel free to share them; your nurse will find the background useful, though it isn’t mandatory.
A screen, camera and audio plus a steady internet signal are all you need. Your appointment opens directly through a browser link we send you.
Coverage differs between insurers, and nurse-led video appointments are not always included, so it is best to check your own policy wording first. If you do need to claim, Medelit is happy to provide an invoice for the appointment.
No — a video appointment is for advice, teaching and support, not for a hands-on wound assessment or a physical procedure such as a dressing change. If your wound needs a nurse to examine or treat it in person, our home visiting nursing team can come to you instead.
