No referral is mandatory — you can book directly with any Medelit therapist. It is still advisable to bring one if you have it, so your therapist has all the relevant information about your condition before your first video session.

Sessions combine formal and informal assessment methods, adapted to the child’s age, covering areas such as understanding concepts, following instructions, and the use of pronouns and verb tenses. Many children respond well to the online format, especially using a headset.

Yes. After a stroke, speech and language therapy by video works on communication and on strategies for everyday conversations, at a pace set with you and your family. Your therapist assesses first and agrees a plan; progress depends on each person and is never guaranteed.
