Dr. Asoka Wijayawickrama Home Visiting Doctor in London – Profile and Clinical Excellence

Dr. Asoka Wijayawickrama qualified from Kings College Hospital in 1998 and initially trained as a surgeon, obtaining the MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2023. He later transitioned to general practice, earning the MRCGP in 2006. Since 2010, he has been a partner in a practice in West London, which was featured in The Times newspaper in 2022. In addition to his clinical work, he serves as the Programme Director for the Hillingdon GPVTS training scheme and has extensive experience in out-of-hours general practice and urgent care.

Beyond his medical career, Dr. Wijayawickrama is a ringside physician for combat sports events and remains up to date in BASICS pre-hospital care and advanced life support. He has obtained postgraduate diplomas in medical education, ENT, diabetes and endocrinology, and, most recently, occupational medicine in 2023. He is also registered as an appointed doctor for ionising radiation regulations with the HSE. In his spare time, he trains and teaches martial arts, holding a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
