Online consultations are for women of reproductive age. Pregnancy care, menopause, gynaecological surgery, bladder and pelvic floor problems (urogynaecology) and gynaecological cancer are not part of the service at the moment; your GP can advise you where to turn.

The gynaecologist talks through your symptoms and history with you and explains the next steps, such as tests or treatment options.
Yes. Online gynaecology consultations can be booked directly, without a letter from your GP. If you already have test results, scan reports or hospital letters, send them in with your booking: seeing them beforehand lets the gynaecologist spend your appointment time on what matters most to you.
You see the fee for a video consultation before you book, and it is set by the gynaecologist you choose, so you can compare before deciding. There is no membership and no monthly subscription: you pay securely online for the consultation itself once you have accepted the appointment time.
A mobile, tablet or computer with a camera, microphone and a steady internet connection. Choose a private room where you can talk freely, and keep a list of your medicines, your recent period dates and any test results to hand. Headphones help if you share your home with others.
Not physically. A video consultation is based on talking through your history and symptoms. If your gynaecologist feels an examination, a swab or a scan is needed, they will tell you and explain how to arrange it, either with a home visit in parts of London or through your GP.
Yes. Because the consultation happens by video, you can book it wherever you live in the UK, and also while you are away from home. Home visits by our gynaecologists are a separate service, currently available in some areas of London and expanding.
No. Online gynaecology appointments are planned consultations. If you have sudden severe pain, heavy bleeding or a concern in pregnancy, call 999 or go to A&E. When you are not sure how urgent it is, NHS 111 can advise you on where to get help.
