There is no waiting list — Medelit’s online doctor service is available 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, with same-day and next-day appointments often available depending on the doctor or consultant you choose. Requests received overnight are treated as first priority when our team reopens in the morning.
Only if you tell them. The written medical report from your video consultation is given to you, and it is yours to share with your own GP if you want your usual records kept up to date. Nothing is shared automatically, after this or any future consultation.
If your doctor or consultant decides a prescription is appropriate, it is provided at no extra cost as part of your video consultation. Where needed, we can also arrange for the medicine to be delivered directly to your home address, so you do not need to visit a pharmacy in person.
No. Medelit’s online doctor service is not an emergency service, and video consultations are not suitable for urgent or life-threatening conditions. For a medical emergency, always call 999 or go to your nearest A&E. For urgent advice that is not an emergency, contact NHS 111. Our doctors and consultants are best suited to non-emergency care, prescriptions and referrals.
